A MEMORY GAME. ONE SIMPLE RULE.
Same as
the last move?
Watch what a shape does.
Does the next shape do the same thing?
4 comparisons. Two buttons. A painting to keep.
Compare with the move N steps ago.
Start with 1-back: compare with the previous move.

- SHRINKS againChoose Same.
- OPENS insteadChoose Different.
Ignore colour and shape. No timer. Mistakes do not end the game.
More ways to play · optional
Ready for more? These modes are separate from the simple 1-back game.
Three short rounds. Your pace. No account needed.
Same action
as one move ago?
That is your first rule. Shapes and colours can change.
Difficulty grows between rounds, only when you are ready.
A little more curious?
Explore all three worlds or play a separate practice round.
Choose your game & difficulty
Quick: 1-back actions, 4 comparisons. Detective: 1-back shapes + actions, 8 comparisons. Deep: 2-back actions with distractions, 16 comparisons. Settings apply to practice only.
Some wrong matches repeat the last move, rather than the move two steps back. Optional, for a harder practice.
NO CALENDAR GATES / NO SCORE TO BEAT
Seven small
discoveries.
Move through three worlds. Learn a new way of looking in each chapter. A completed round opens the next — mistakes never lock you out.
You can stop after any chapter, replay an earlier one, or choose free practice. The harder rules are invitations, not requirements for your daily artwork.

SAME MOVES. YOUR COMPOSITION.

EARNED BY SHOWING UP, NOT BY A PERFECT SCORE
Your small
collection.
Your played moves become memory prints. The daily ritual adds a separate edition, one layer per round.

Progress by challenge
Compare the same distance, rule, world and feedback flow. Game modes stay separate. Local game observations, not an IQ score.

STUDIO NOTES / A VISUAL EXPERIMENT
What if memory
became a map?
Liquid atlas. Floating rings become islands. A compass points somewhere impossible.
This is a visual study for a possible future world, not a playable new chapter. Try the two states and three compositions.
A POSSIBLE NEXT CHAPTER / NOT FOR SALE
Three new worlds.
€9, once.
A proposed art pack with three new playable worlds and new print compositions. The free game and the art you already made would stay free. No subscription.
Only this visual study exists today. The pack is not built or on sale. No payment or email is collected.
At €9 once, what would you need?
You have seen a visual concept, not the proposed playable pack. Choose a reaction and optionally prepare a note for the creator.
Nothing is sent automatically. You can send the copied note to the creator on LinkedIn ↗, or keep it to yourself.
NOT A TEST OF YOUR WORTH
A game for
paying attention.
Still Echo makes memory tangible: recognise a transformation, let it go, find it again.
The first rule compares one move back. Later rounds may ask you to remember both shape and action, or look two moves back. Every new rule is announced before the round starts.
There are no lives, penalties for missing a day, or speed bonuses. Your artwork grows with participation. The game does not measure IQ or promise medical benefits.
